4th – 5th June 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are all well and that everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather! It certainly makes life easier and more cheery when the sun is shining.

At the moment we are currently watching the announcements regarding the re-opening of schools with great interest. The Board of Management and staff will closely follow any guidelines to ensure that the health and safety of all our pupils and staff is upheld when it comes to opening our doors at the end of August.

The school building may be closed but we are working to get ready for our next academic year. As we receive further clarity and guidance from the Department, we will be in contact regarding Book Rental, Booklists, End of Year Reports etc. in the coming weeks.

At the request of the Department of Education and Skills, continuity of learning continues to take place – please find an outline of work below for the classes for Thursday 4th and Friday 5th June. The school was closed Monday and Tuesday 1st and 2nd of June due to the Bank Holiday and we are also not marking work for Wednesday as we had overlooked the Tuesday we were due to be closed with the May Bank Holiday.

Our weekly advice –  please see the work plan as a menu of options that you can work on as suits your family situation at present.

If your child is overwhelmed, pick and choose from the work and find what works best for your child – link in with the class teachers and they will guide you with this.

Most importantly, stay safe and well.

We look forward to seeing you all again.

Warm regards,

Staff of Kilcoona N.S.
