Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are hopeful that our post this week finds you all in continued good health. It is hard to believe how long it is since we have had the children in the school, we continue to miss them each day.

We had some good news during the week, we were awarded a Green Flag! Well done to our Green Flag Committee for their work on this and to Tracey Langan for overseeing the project in the school.

As mentioned in our letter last week, in the roadmap issued by the government, we were delighted to see that they will allow access to the school building on May 18th for ‘… teachers for organisation and distribution of remote learning.’ This is the first time staff have been officially permitted into the building to do such work. We are currently formulating a plan to distribute the books to you next week and we will be in contact as soon as this is ready.

As the Department of Education and Skills have requested, continuity of learning continues to take place – please find an outline of work below for the classes from Monday 11th May – Friday 15th May 2020. We realise we marked work last week for Tuesday 5th May, which should have been a school holiday, we will reflect this in our June Bank Holiday week’s work plan, apologies for this oversight.

Please see the work below as a menu of options that you can work on as suits your family situation at present. If your child is overwhelmed, pick and choose from the work and find what works best for your child – link in with the class teachers and they will guide you with this.
