Updated Information for Connacht Rugby Sunday 17th November

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The school received updated information from Connacht rugby today for the match on Sunday.

  • Please note there will be no meeting at the Huntsman Inn – everyone meets at the Sportsground.
  • Students to arrive  at 11.40.
  • Enter at the Clan Terrace Entrance (the gate further away from town) where you will meet Mr. Kerin and when everyone has arrived the students will make their way to the astroturf pitch located behind the Clubhouse on your right.
  • At that location from 12p.m. the children will get an opportunity to meet some of the Connacht rugby players and Eddie the Eagle.
  • At 12.20p.m., a group photo will be taken of all the schools and Connacht players.
  • Schools will then be lined up for the beginning of the lap of honour.
  • At 12.35p.m. the schools will begin their lap of honour which takes them along the front of the Clan Stand, around the College Road End and past the Main Stand, ending in front of the Grant Thornton Seated Stand.
  • Schools should then make their way to where their ticket allocation is for. Those in the Bohermore Road End should keep walking straight.
  • After the game if kids want autographs of our matchday squad, they can do so outside the dressing room at the Clubhouse.
  • Parents can meet their kids at the Clan Terrace Entrance gate afterwards if they are not attending the match.
