20th – 24th April 2020

20th – 24th April 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you all managed to enjoy the Easter break in these very strange set of circumstances we find ourselves living through.

As the closure is extended up to May 5th, we have had guidance from the Department to continue to set work during these closures but we are doing this whilst reiterating our previous message –  that we value each family’s situation and each family’s decision based on their ability to engage with the work set out here again today. Our first priority is the health and wellbeing of our school community – this has not changed.

Thank you to the families who have already completed the survey we sent today, it gives great insight and feedback to us here at the school and we will endeavour to take on advice and suggestions as best we can in the coming weeks. Please see the link to the survey here.

The children who were due to make their First Holy Communion Class on Saturday, 25th April are in our thoughts this week. We look forward to hearing a new date from Fr. Pat when these restrictions are lifted and we will communicate this date directly to the parents as soon as it is available – it will be something to look forward to when we are all back together again.

I wish to acknowledge the dedication of the staff who have been a great support during these closures and who are engaging with professional development online during this time. We have moved all our staff interactions into the virtual world and we were busy today with staff meetings to plan our work going forward.

Please find an outline of work below for the classes for Monday 20th April – Friday 24th April.  It is late going up today, we apologise for that and we repeat again to please see this as a menu of options that you can work on as suits your family situation at present.

The teachers have provided their email on the documents and are happy for photos of the work to be sent to their email where they can then give feedback to the students on work completed.

Take care everyone – warm regards,

Staff of Kilcoona N.S.
